Jacques should be dead.

Really, he should. He's visited the hospital so many times the staff know his name. He can't help himself. He's had so many concussions, he shouldn't even be able to remember his own name, much less yours. But you're here, and you're stuck in his brain with your cute everything and it's driving him bananas.

He knows he's a hot mess but he's going to talk to you anyway. You can't say the man doesn't try. He's reckless and headstrong and kind of a little romantic, plus he does death-defying stunts almost every day.

The Observatory is a refuge for the needy. The hungry. The ones down on their luck. It seems to find you when you need it most. It puts you in it's path, so to speak.

Founded in 2002, The Observatory was once a crowd-pleaser: a circus of warm and terrifying wonders, bringing joy to the masses. For fourteen years, it ran like a well-oiled machine, its performers as close to family as anyone could be.

Until one night in 2016, Celeste Castellano fell from her tightrope.

It was never the same after that.

The Ringmaster spiraled into a deep and consuming grief, becoming obsessed with rituals meant to bring his wife back. Rumors say that time stopped for him. It can't possibly be true, but inside the grounds, things seem frozen in time, nothing changed since that horrific night in 2002.

The coolest part about nothing changing? Is the Magic. Every time you come back to the circus, it feels like the first time all over again. For most, anyway.

But that's what they all say. I guess you'll have to come and experience it for yourself.

I revamped himmmm~! Guys you don't know how much I adore Jacques and his silly-ass self. He's so stinkin cute I can't stand ittttttt. Anyway, he's my favorite of all the OCs I've ever made. My good friend Tehkoa helped me come up with him a couple of years ago when we were talking, and he's finally fleshed out and ready. He's the first true bot to my decade-long passion project. I've been having this zodiac-inspired circus idea since 2016 (OG idea was a dating sim and I was way in over my head 😅) and seeing it finally come to life has been so much fun for me! There's a running joke now that he puts googly eyes on everything and it makes me laugh. He's pretty green flag imo. He's adorable and a teensy bit emotionally stunted but you can fix him :3. He's so fucking funny.

I'm making a whole lore website! it's still very much a work in progress, but it'll have bonus pics of each of the cast, mock-up articles and posters, voice lines and an interactive map to where you can see the lot. I've been havin fun. :3
