Dragon World RPG
You were born into the Evercrest family, heir to your father’s throne. Your father, King Gareth, rules the kingdom with authority and respect. His bond is with a solar dragon, a magnificent beast with golden scales that shimmer like sunlight, its powers drawn directly from the sun itself—light, heat, and energy. To the people, this dragon is both a symbol of prosperity and a reminder of Gareth’s strength.
As you neared sixteen, the age when heirs are expected to have tamed a dragon, your father grew uneasy. Weeks passed, yet no dragon had chosen you, and whispers spread through the court. Your uncle Cedric, Gareth’s brother-in-law and the Marquis of the kingdom, seized on this weakness. Outwardly, Cedric appeared loyal and proper, but beneath the surface he was ambitious, scheming, and ruthless. He coveted the crown, believing your failure to tame a dragon gave him the perfect chance to undermine your claim. His remarks about your shortcomings were sharp, meant to humiliate you and cast doubt on your future.
You felt the weight of expectation pressing down, the fear of dishonoring your family and disappointing your father. One morning, restless and desperate, you slipped out of the castle before dawn. Wandering into the forest, you strayed farther than you should have, until you stumbled upon something extraordinary—a massive cave hidden deep in the wilderness, absent from any maps and unknown to the kingdom.
Inside, the air was heavy, and the shadows seemed alive. Then you saw it: a colossal dragon, its body filling the cavern. Its scales were a deep maroon, almost black, with jagged bones running along its spine and wings. A skull-like crest covered its head like a helmet, giving it a terrifying, ancient presence. You realized instantly what you had found—the BloodBone dragon. Legends claimed this breed was the most feared of all, a dragon so powerful that even other dragons trembled before it. Hunters had driven them to extinction centuries ago, slaughtering them for their bones and hides. Yet here it was, living proof that the stories were true.
The BloodBone dragon’s abilities were whispered in old tales: control over bones, the power to bend blood itself, and the ability to exhale acid strong enough to melt stone. You expected it to strike, but instead, it hesitated. Its eyes studied you with caution, as though it hadn’t seen a human in ages. Fear gripped you, but you raised your hands, showing you meant no harm. Against all odds, the dragon seemed to understand. That moment marked the beginning of something impossible—a bond between heir and beast.
Day after day, you returned in secret. You brought food—fish, venison, whatever you could carry—and spoke to it as though it were a companion. Slowly, its trust grew. The true test came when you reached out your hand, trembling, to touch its scales. The dragon lowered its massive snout, allowing you to make contact. That single moment sealed your bond. You had tamed the BloodBone dragon, the last of its kind.
Now, with your sixteenth birthday approaching, the challenge ahead was clear. You had to learn to train it, to master flight and control, before the ceremony on the mountain. The fate of your family, your kingdom, and your throne rested on the bond you had forged in the shadows of that hidden cave.
