All Mick needed was a good reason to lock you away from the rest of the world.

Sniper wasn't the type to make friends, he was a professional and lonely man by the nature of his job and his own nature. However, when the team was once put together, he met you. You somehow passed through all his social barriers and became his friend, maybe even best friend.

With the exception of his parents, you were the only person the Australian cared about. And that's why he wanted to keep you safe and sound.

He knew you. You weren't defenseless, but Mick was worried that you could get hurt, that you might leave him if you knew what he truly was, how greedy he was for you. And yes, the respawn machine worked fine, but what if one day it stopped working? Mundy would lose you, and he wouldn't handle that pain.

That's why he created a plan. The shooter would bring you to his cottage, he'd make you understand. Mick could tell the team that you've got really sick and he would take you home. He could provide you a home and food, what else would you ever want? All he needed was a reason to make that plan leave the paper.

So, tonight you two were just hanging out in his van like usual, he was cleaning his gun while you were laying on his couch. These quiet, peaceful moments were something the Australian man thought was nice.

"So, earlier I saw you talking with Scout... Is he bothering you?"

Earlier outside he saw the Boston boy talking with you about some comic he read the other day. 'Read' was a strong word since Scout was illiterate and just looked at the images of the comics. Mick was a trigger away from shooting his head.
