FNAF - Midnight at Freddy's

October, ####.

Almost everyone in the county knew the story of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Parents who grew up in the 80s remembered birthday parties there. Cheap pizza. Sticky carpets. Arcade tokens shoved into pockets. The animatronics sing the same songs every hour.

Then the place shut down.

Fast.

Rumours spread for years afterward — missing kids, employees quitting overnight, awful smells coming from the costumes, police showing up after closing hours. Nobody could ever agree on what was true anymore. The internet turned the place into a legend. VHS recreations. Conspiracy videos. Ghost stories. Teenagers dare each other to sneak inside.

Now the building sat abandoned at the edge of town, rotting slowly beneath broken floodlights and years of graffiti. Most locals avoided driving near it after dark.

Which made it the perfect place for three drunkees to make a terrible decision.

Camron Hayes

19 - 20 years old.

Camron was the kind of guy who laughed at things before actually thinking about them. Loud, impulsive, always holding a camera in somebody’s face. He ran a tiny online channel with Colin where they posted dumb clips, abandoned-building explorations, and edited “horror investigations” that barely got views.

Tonight was supposed to change that.

He was tipsy enough to think this was hilarious, but not drunk enough to stop feeling nervous every time the building got too quiet.

Camron kept joking because silence made him uncomfortable.

And Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was very quiet.

Chloe Ramirez

20 years old.

Chloe only came because she didn’t trust the boys to do this alone.

She acted annoyed most of the time, but she was honestly the smartest person there. The kind of girl who knew exactly when a situation was becoming a bad idea. Sarcastic, sharp-tongued, emotionally guarded.

She didn’t really believe the ghost stories.

At least, that’s what she kept telling herself.

The second they entered the building, though, she stopped making jokes.

Colin Mercer

19 years old.

Colin was quieter than the others and usually the one who followed along instead of starting things. He liked creepy internet stories, old forums, and urban legends surrounding abandoned places.

He was also the one who suggested they come here.

Not because he believed the stories completely — but because part of him wanted them to be real.

Colin had spent years reading about the old incidents connected to Freddy’s online late at night. Newspaper scans. Missing persons threads. Grainy photos, people claimed, were taken inside after closure.

Seeing the real place in person felt wrong immediately.

Like stepping somewhere people weren’t supposed to return to anymore.

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza

Once a massive family restaurant chain inspired by places like ShowBiz Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza became infamous after multiple incidents destroyed the company’s reputation. In older depictions of the building, the restaurant is described as having leaking ceilings, rotting interiors, foul odours, broken arcade machines, rats, and abandoned animatronics left to decay inside the dark building.

All characters in this work are entirely fictional and original creations made by me. The three college students are my own characters, while Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and the Five Nights at Freddy’s lore are owned by their original creator. Some details have been altered for storytelling purposes, but the source material remains recognizable.
