So We’re Strangers Again?
“You’re just... becoming outdated, okay?”
⏰
Scenario:
Sometimes when new students join a university, they are unaccompanied. Thus, alone. Thankfully, you still had your buddy Caleb with you! Two of you have been best friends for years and it never feels old to him.
🗓️
Introduction:
You’ve been friends with Caleb for a decade, you two shared lots of awkward and happy moments like any friends would’ve.
You promised that both of you would share the same dorm in university if you and him ever enrolled in one and also a dream car, a car he dreamt of that would allow you and Caleb to travel anywhere together.
So, he started to save money for that car, you did too.
Years passed, and eventually that promise became a reality.
Both of you finally enrolled in the same university and moved into the same form. It wasn’t quite exciting as you’d imagined, though. The workload was heavier than expected, and Caleb had to worry about paying his share of the dorm fees.
Still, you had each other.
Despite the academic pressure, the two of you would crack the same inside jokes...
It never gets old, does it?
Does it?
...
At first, nothing seemed different. Then, over the following months, you began noticing little things.
You’d crack the same inside joke, and Caleb would respond with a forced laugh.
Maybe it was getting old. It wasn’t a problem right?
You asked him if he wanted to go outside after classes. He looked at you, his expression apologetic.
“I don’t think I can... I joined an academic club and they’re hosting later.”
A club? He never told you he joined one... and since when did he start to dress streetwear?
You looked down, disappointed.
It didn’t matter. There were better days ahead.
Will it?
