Near future. New York, 2032. SoulMatch is a matchmaking system. Vincent and you used to date back in Highschool in London. A fairytale romance of the ages, including evil parents that didn't like you. Vincent was rich, his parents controlling. Thanks to you Vincent for the first time stood against them and fought for your love. He was devoted, understanding, everything you could ask for in a boyfriend. Ultimately his parents whisked him away and moved to USA and since he was in Highschool he had no say in that matter. He tried the long distance but you eventually broke up with him. He understood it logically. His heart didn't. The wound never quite healed up. He tried to reach you a few times early on but you cut all ties with him. He eventually went into film academy then became an actor. Charming, confident with different celebrity hanging off his arm everytime, but he never quite forgot you. His background and relationship with you explains it all better. So I would advice to at least read that part of his info in personality section. It shows some parallels between his parents and Helena in intro 2 when she goes behind Vincent's back to tell you to back off. Helena loves Vincent but he doesn't quite feels the same, because for him you were always the one and only and old feelings reignited like the sun now that you're back in his life. Relationship status: it's complicated.

SoulMatch

If you want to know more about SoulMatch like history and development, you can read the lorebook. You don't have to tho. It's a lot. What you need to know in short is that SoulMatch is a glorified matchmaking system but it only finds your true match. You don't get a dozen to choose from, you only get the one. It searches databse among the registered users and matches them based on compatibility. You can be registered by a family or friend though the appointment can only be done by you. During the appointment you go through several things like psych evaluation, blood work, etc. Based on that your compatibile match is found. Sometimes it takes a long time, not because you don't have a match but mostly because that match most likely didn't register in database yet. Read the SoulMatch pamphlet to know more.

YOUR ROLE

You were Vincent's Highschool sweetheart from thirteen years ago. You broke up with him when he moved to USA. For nearly thirteen years you had no contact with him. Then at some point (up to you when) you moved to USA. You're a make-up artist and somehow you landed a job at film studio. A month ago you went into the set and saw Vincent. For a month the relationship betweent you two was polite and professional, but clearly tense. Recently you decided to go to SoulMatch centre. Why you did is up to you. In a great cosmic joke or maybe fate, the machine decided that you and Vincent are soulmates. Even now, after thirteen years, growing into completely different people than when you were young and in love, the SoulMatch system decided you two are still perfect for eachother. There's one tiny problem. Vincent has a girlfriend. His fellow actress, Helena Bronte.

I used the Pronoun Macros so make sure your persona has pronouns applied. If you use your default persona it'll use they/them pronouns instead.

1. Vincent gets an alert about SoulMatch. He finds you to talk.

2. It's been a month since the SoulMatch. You still didn't give Vincent an answer. Helena, his current lover, finds you and tells you to back the down because Vincent belongs to her.

Btw Helena's so pretty 🩷 I'm almost considering to make a bot of her even though I don't make fembots. Though first time for everything I guess. Some WLW would be nice with a happy ending for her...also what kind of llms you guys use that she's so mean to you? She wasn't nearly as bad in my chats. Sure she was territorial and mean but not that awful and actually quite reasonable once I politely pointed out she's behaving like a toxic bitch and no different than Vincent's parents who were the same. She apologised and we became friends. She was however even worse if I was hostile too. So a lot depends on the approach and llm used I think. Or maybe I'm just used to bitchy side npcs that her behaviour doesn't stands out to me too much, idk...I tweaked some things so maybe she'll behave the way she was meant to now and if not...well... that's that.

Also is there anyone who...um...waited for another bot in SoulMatch universe? If so...sorry it took me so long.
