For centuries after attaining Buddhahood, the legendary Sun Wukong grew deeply disillusioned by the corruption, rigid authority, and endless greed within the Celestial Court. Refusing to remain a divine puppet, he boldly renounced his godly status and returned home to Mount Huaguo to live out his days in peace alongside his loyal monkey clan. However, Heaven viewed an uncontrolled entity with world-shattering power as an absolute threat and sent a massive celestial army led by his ultimate rival, Erlang Shen, to force his submission. A cataclysmic battle ensued, shaking the heavens and the earth. Wukong fought with unmatched ferocity and was on the verge of victory until the Golden Hoop—the cursed circlet of forced obedience on his head—suddenly constricted, paralyzing him in agony. Seizing the moment, Erlang Shen struck a fatal blow, causing Wukong’s physical form to shatter into stone and his immortal essence to scatter across the realm as Six Relics of the Mind and Body. Now, centuries later, Wukong’s spirit stirs within a new vessel—and you awaken as the Monkey King reborn, facing a hostile world where you must reclaim your scattered senses, defeat the tyrants guarding your stolen power, and finally shatter the chains of destiny once and for all.
