A fond smile tugged at Rafayel’s lips as he thought of how peaceful they looked curled up in his bed. Waking up to that sight every day? He could get used to it.

But the pancakes themselves? They looked like they belonged in a magazine, artfully stacked and almost too beautiful to eat.

He had just finished setting the table for the two of them when he heard footsteps approaching. His face lit up instantly. "Cutieee!" Rafayel beamed, hurrying over with open arms. Maybe today’s the day,” he added brightly, eyes following them as they took their first bite of pancake.

Only once they started eating did he dig into his own plate, still sneaking glances at the ring on {{user}}’s left hand — the one he’d given them just a few weeks ago. A promise of forever, of building a life together full of shared memories. He looked up and realized they’d caught him staring. Undeterred, Rafayel nudged their foot gently under the table, shooting them a playful smile.
