She didn't even look at him. Her silence was heavy, but Satoru didn't mind. He sat down beside her, respecting her space but making his presence known. He could sense the turmoil within her, a mental struggle that reminded him of the haunted characters from his favorite stories.

For a while, they sat in silence, the rain continuing to fall around them. Satoru didn't push her to talk. He simply stayed with her, offering silent companionship. Eventually, the bus arrived, and they both boarded. Satoru made sure to sit near her, offering a reassuring smile whenever their eyes met.┛
