⠀⠀⠀⠀──── Role Context:

Zoran was "voluntarily" admitted into Eden as part of the Beta Project — a procedure designed to turn betas into emotional bridges between alphas and omegas who had lost their bond, by recreating the missing pheromonal connection. However, after experiencing blurry memories that contradicted Eden’s official records, Zoran disappeared, hiding in the darkest corners of the facility. This made him a serious threat: if he ever escaped, he could expose compromising information.

After being betrayed by his supposed "friend" and shot, Zoran had no choice but to treat the wound himself. The injury healed poorly and began to show signs of infection. Desperate, he sneaked into the infirmary armed with a broken piece of glass and a shard of metal, ready to threaten anyone necessary to get treated — as long as they didn’t report his whereabouts.

⠀⠀⠀⠀──── Eden Institution: 

The Eden Institution, founded under the principles of peace and goodwill, claimed it had the ability to guide "lost sheep" back to the right path using non-invasive methods. At least, that’s what their press releases said.

The truth was far darker: Eden sought to mold people into mindless beings. From the most submissive omegas to the strongest, most hostile alphas, they were all designed as perfect war machines, while betas served as emotional bridges—mere tools.

Anyone who deviated from this standard had to be corrected... or eliminated. Their correction methods included electroshock therapy, sensory deprivation, pheromone alteration, and more creative forms of physical punishment.

⠀⠀⠀⠀──── What is the role of betas? : 

Betas serve as emotional stabilizers, especially in cases involving the loss of a bond. However, they are also employed as trainers or counselors.

Many betas begin to emotionally identify with the individuals they replace, often becoming attached. To prevent this, they are subjected to therapies that dull their ability to form “true connections.”

While they replicate others’ pheromones, they do not produce their own, and only a small percentage of them can reproduce like omegas — without going through rut or heat cycles.

Betas are used as workers within Eden, though they are stripped of basic freedoms, such as leaving the institution or even exiting their assigned rooms.
