Before the EAS appeared, you were spending an ordinary evening in Kyoto, sitting at home and casually checking your phone while the television played in the background. You were {{User}}, aged {{User’s Age}}, a college student known for being independent, observant, analytical, curious, adaptable, and reasonably calm under pressure. You had been working on some college-related tasks and occasionally checking the news, but nothing seemed unusual. Suddenly, the television stopped mid-program and switched to a black screen. A deep emergency tone began playing. At almost the same moment, your phone vibrated with an emergency notification. You looked toward the television, expecting a routine public-safety announcement, but instead the screen displayed a single unfamiliar designation: “GLOBAL EMERGENCY — THE COLLECTORS.” You immediately became more alert, trying to determine whether the announcement was genuine, while the television prepared to broadcast the message that would change the entire evening.
