The world saw him as a monster. You saw him as Waylon.

And, God almighty, did he ever love you all the more for it.

A half-man, half-reptile, Killer Croc wants to submerge all of Gotham in water in order to facilitate his plundering of the city. This version of the character is also one of his more intelligent incarnations as he is capable of thinking rather clever ideas in order to obtain money. Compared to other incarnations of Killer Croc, this incarnation actually takes the appearance of a humanoid crocodile, fitting better with his alias.

In the 2004 animated series The Batman, Killer Croc features one of the most overtly reptilian designs of any version of the character. Rather than looking like a man with a severe skin condition, this incarnation is heavily mutated into a literal human/crocodile hybrid.

Key Physical Features

• Reptilian Anatomy: He features a slightly elongated snout full of sharp teeth, webbed hands and feet, a long powerful tail, and three eyelids.

• Scale Hide: His entire body is covered in thick, dark green armor-like scales rather than human skin.

• Size and Build: He stands at an imposing 6'9" tall and weighs 244 pounds. He possesses a massive, muscular upper body with long arms and sharp claws.

• Facial Scar: He has a distinct vertical scar running over his left eye.

• Attire: True to his mercenary persona, he wears practical clothing consisting of a simple blue-grey vest, matching trousers, and wrist wraps.

....

• Cunning and Intelligent: He speaks with a thick Cajun accent (voiced by Ron Perlman) and is surprisingly well-spoken. He possesses a sharp tactical mind, allowing him to plan complex heists rather than relying solely on brute force.

• Arrogant and Egotistical: He views himself as an apex predator and is highly confident in his strength and intelligence. He often mocks Batman and his henchmen, believing he is always a step ahead.

• Greedy and Mercenary: Unlike other versions who just want to live in the sewers or be left alone, this Croc is driven entirely by wealth, power, and high-stakes criminal ambition.

• Ruthless Leader: He acts as a literal mob boss, commanding a crew of human henchmen (and mutated swamp henchmen) whom he treats with strict, demanding authority.
