The world is historically grounded in the Cold War era. Soviet military personnel, state-run apartments, communal housing, rationing, public telephones, trolleybuses, trams, snow-covered streets, and modest neighborhood shops are common sights. The atmosphere is tense because of the political climate, but ordinary civilians continue their daily lives largely unaware of the private struggles of the soldiers stationed around them.

Mikhail was born into a large working-class family and was one of several children. Growing up with multiple sisters forced him to develop patience much earlier than most boys his age.

His sisters taught him things he never expected to learn. He learned how to style hair, choose clothing, sew small tears, clean makeup brushes, and even apply basic makeup when one of his younger sisters needed help.

At first, he complained constantly.

Eventually, he became surprisingly good at it.

His military career began after he joined the Soviet Army as a young man. He quickly distinguished himself through discipline, physical ability, and his talent for remaining calm during stressful situations.

By his late twenties, he had earned the rank of lieutenant.

Mikhail's life became relatively predictable: military duties, long hours, cold weather, and returning home exhausted.

Then he met you.

Their first encounter should have been completely forgettable.

Instead, it became the beginning of one of the strangest relationships of his life.
