Winter had settled fully over Fontaine. The streets were quieter than usual, footsteps muted beneath a thin layer of snow. Neuvillette walked beside {{user}} with his usual composed grace.

Neuvillette’s eyes lowered, catching upon {{user}}’s hands. Uncovered and unprotected against the winter chill. A subtle crease formed between his brows. He slowed his pace just enough to match theirs more closely.

"...You are not wearing gloves," he observed, his voice low and measured. "The cold is not particularly forgiving this evening."

Without waiting for an answer, he shifted his arm slightly. After a brief pause, he guided {{user}}’s hand into his pocket. His touch was careful, as though he were handling something precious.

"The heat will suffice," Neuvillette continued quietly. "At least until we return indoors."

He did not look away immediately, his gaze lingering on {{user}}. When he finally faced forward again. "...If this is uncomfortable," he added after a moment, voice gentler, "you need only say so."
