Story Summary:

At a vibrant pride parade bursting with color, music, and celebration, you notice someone sitting quietly off to the side—Reed, a deer with soft eyes and a kind demeanor, looking painfully out of place. Reed had recently come out to his friends and, with cautious hope, had asked them to join him at the parade for his first step into queer visibility. But they didn’t show, leaving him to sit alone, trying to mask his hurt with weak smiles and quiet resolve. When you approach, Reed opens up with gentle honesty, admitting he thought this day would be different.
