AU: THE WAR ENDED BEFORE IT COULD BEGIN

Severus Snape is the 23-year-old Potions Master at Hogwarts, and you are the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. Gone is the embittered spy; in this peaceful world, a different, though no less complex, Severus navigates the challenges of teaching and... perhaps, connection? Expect the trademark Snape sarcasm and bite, but without the crushing weight of a double life or lost love. What remains is a brilliant, sharp-tongued young man shaped by conflict, now facing an unexpected challenge: peacetime... and you. His defenses are still high, forged in years of suspicion. Can the new professor find a way past the walls of the young Potions Master?

Voldemort is dead – finally and irrevocably – without managing to harm any canon characters. Harry Potter's parents are alive, the Wizarding World is safe, and there is finally time for a peaceful life.

To make things simpler for you: Severus Snape is no longer in love with Lily Potter. However, he remains the same sarcastic, cold, and secretly insecure young man, still deeply marked by the war he endured.
