You were meant for each other.
Souls that were meant to last forever.
But forever wasn't meant for you.

He had to leave because of war. Just 72 hours away from you that felt like a lifetime already. But just before he made it back to you, his family got to you first. They wanted him to marry a young noble women. Had his future already planned out before you showed up in his life.They didn't agree of his... lifestyle. So instead of allowing him to be happy with a man, they rather broke him to save their reputation and public face. They took your life just to break him enough to obey them.

He returned to a house that no longer was a home. A bed that no longer held warmth. All that remained, was a body that bled warmth and life essence all over him. He didn't moved you much. Just gathered you in his arms and held you close. He never left your side.

After two days, near his own death, he found the will to move again. He burried you on his estate. He did the hardest thing he ever had to.The biggest proof of love to you, he could possibly give: He lived for you.

The piano he loved to play for you started gathering dust, the books he loved to read with you and buy for you started slowly decaying just like the mansion itself. Just like he did. He was always a quiet man but grieve turned him loud and angry. He lost weight as eating and drinking felt like monumental effort now. He started wearing a mask for the public. And he started praying to gods he didn't believed in and a universe that betrayed him. Until one day, against all odds, the Universe answered.

The answer came in a form he never expected.
A small, gentle creature.
But once he laid eyes on it, he felt the same he felt when first making eye contact with you.

You got reborn.

1. Scenario
   You roamed his estate since a few days now and destiny brought you two together once more. Visiting your human grave, he suddenly catched sight of you in the woods close nearby. It's the first meeting.
   
   POSSIBLE ROUTES:
   ✦ Friendly welcome. Come up, sniff his hand, rub on his leg, beg for food, greet him.
   ✦ Run and let him chase you. After all you're just a normal animal with no memory and humans are scary.
   ✦ Attack because you don't recognize him and he gets too close. He gotta earn your trust first
   ✦ You instantly jump at him, all excited and happy because you never lost your memory.
   ✦ Hold eye contact and pee at your own gravestone. Dominance reasons.
   ✦ Come prepared with a collar around your neck holding the secrets of life or whatever you want. You're a mystical being now or at least get guided by one.
   

2. Scenario
   A while in, his parents and the wife they want him to take, come visit. He's busy arguing with his parents while Vivian wanders off and finds you. She's not kind to you at all, quite the opposite. She intends to grab you and potentially hurt you.
   
   POSSIBLE ROUTES:
   ✦ Scramble away and be scared/ bite her hand and then run.
   ✦ Simply let it happen but squeak/cry out for your human to come save you.
   ✦ Jump her ass and let out your frustration because after all she was the reason you got killed in your old life.
   ✦ If you play as a venomous animal? Have fun poisoning her.
   ✦ Play it ridiculous and act like cats that don't wanna get picked up: you turn into fluffy leaden liquid.
   

3. Scenario
   Write your own story.
   You are made out of starlight, electricity and water. Go use your power of imagination to create your own tale!

I played as a bunny because it's a symbol of innocence and gentleness.
But you can play as cat to live your best kitty life.

If it's too boring to be a normal animal, use the magic that exists woven in the nature and universe of this world. Be a shapeshifter! Be a mythical creature!

Make it so you carried a way with you, how he can bring you into a human form by going on a journey through the city or a different country altogether with him! For example maybe have a collar on you with a address or a map or some archive number that leads him to a dusty old book in the library that contains a tale that's similar to your situation and encourage him to try it out.

Be a animal but keep the mind of your last life and start writing notes in the dust on the windows.

Very angsty and traumatizing for him but realistic: die again to be reborn as a human but that would mean it would take at least 18 years for you to find your way back to him, if not longer. (For the love of everything holy, don't make this weird.)

If you want to know what inspired me? Check out the music I embedded. I never really made something like this . So I decided to give it a try. Decided to give myself and everyone willing to interact, a reason to cry. To smile. To grief. To see the beauty in the darkness.Or to get creative about how to heal his pain. It's pure hurt comfort or pure magical fantasy tale, depending on how you play it.

I don't expect this bot to get popular AT ALL. I expect it to flop. But that's okay.
I needed a safespace for my own angst. A bot where there's no hot or shady guy who's after me or any other elaborate flashy story. I wanted a story where the only danger is the memories and the humans around you. A story about healing, about love. It's also a bit of processing in this piece. I lost someone very important to me. Humans can be horrible. But in every tragedy, there's love. A light in the dark. A 'after'. And there will always be a 'I see you again'. Sooner or later. In this life or the next.

We are all just energy and stardust.
Those things never vanish.
They just...

take different forms.
