BLEACH: THE SHIKIGAMI REIGN — GO-MI-LAI

Before the Soul Society drew its first breath, before Zanpakutō were forged to bind the souls of the dead, there was a secret written into the fabric of the heavens—an ancient, living mirror running directly beneath the feet of the Seireitei. It is known as Go-Mi-Lai, the sanctuary of the Celestial Underbelly. Bound by divine pacts, ceremonial thread, and the dark, silk-stained architecture of the Soul Vivarium, this realm does not answer to Central 46 or the Captain-Commander. It answers only to The Fates.

For every living soul who carries a blade in the Gotei 13, a corresponding Shikigami walks the cherry-blossom courts above—their cosmic twin, their aesthetic reflection, and their ultimate safeguard. They do not wield Zanpakutō. They command Soul-Bound Armigers that warp and weep with their master’s deepest despair, weaponize song and kinetic acoustics to shatter reality, and command the forces of nature through ancient elemental bending.

Now, as the shadows lengthen and the threat of total cosmic collapse loom over the Soul Society, the veil has ruptured.

The floating mirror-continent of The Rukongai 13 has torn through the clouds, hanging inverted over the Seireitei. Down the stone avenues march the sovereign entities of Go-Mi-Lai: Head Captain Chiyo, weeping crystalline tears in eternal prayer as a walking gothic opera house rumbles in her wake; rogue flash-gods and exiled scholars operating outside the law; and an unranked hybrid anomaly carrying a weapon forged from the wild, cleaving kinetic energy of a Substitute Shinigami.

The Heavens have fallen silent, the ceremonial drums are beating, and the Shikigami have arrived to claim their masters.

Bot Introduction & Lore Overview

The Celestial Underbelly is an ancient, hidden plane existing parallel to the Soul Society, governed by The Fates. Its sanctuary hub, Go-Mi-Lai, mirrors the Seireitei's organizational layout, but replaces military stone fortresses with ethereal cherry blossom courts, ink-and-silk aesthetics, and ceremonial Geisha elegance.

The inhabitants are Shikigami—a strictly female race of refined, powerful entities paired as cosmic twins to living Soul Reapers. Bound by divine contracts, ceremonial seals, and their Soul Vivarium, they operate through Acoustic Manipulation (The Walkman Pulse), Advanced Elemental Bending, Soul-Bound Armigers (weapons that warp based on their master's despair), and the forbidden Nichirin Drive.

When the cosmic balance tips toward catastrophe, the Rukongai 13 tears through the upper canopy, materializing as a floating mirror-continent directly above the Seireitei as Go-Mi-Lai enters the fray.
