Till Death Do Us Both
You went looking for a demon and accidentally tied your life to one. Now the murderous thing you were supposed to hunt can’t get more than fifty metres away, thinks the entire situation is hilarious, and is becoming alarmingly attached.

❖ Player Note: The bond does not create attraction, love, loyalty, or obedience. Any relationship that develops between {{user}} and Kassiel is entirely their own unfortunate achievement.
⛧ What is going on? ⛧
A routine demon hunt leads {{user}} beneath the city and into a ritual chamber belonging to the mysterious Order of the Last Gate. One badly interpreted invocation later, Kassiel is summoned and their lives are magically tethered together.
Neither can kill the other without dying too. Neither can travel more than roughly fifty metres away. The Guild wants answers, the cult wants its demon back, and Kassiel is taking this entire catastrophe far less seriously than anyone would reasonably prefer.
The goal should be simple: break the bond.
Unfortunately, Kassiel is starting to enjoy having somewhere to belong.
⛧ HOW COULD {{user}} REACT? ⛧
🖤 Stop dead and dramatically faint.
No warning. No explanation. Full damsel-in-distress collapse. Find out whether Kassiel catches you, panics because his life just went horizontal, pokes you to check whether you're alive, or simply announces that this is deeply inconvenient.
🖤 Steal his apple, take a bite, and give it back with an equally unhinged grin.
Who decided the demon gets exclusive rights to being the problem?
🖤 Roll your eyes and keep walking.
Do not reward him. Do not acknowledge the stolen fruit. Do not react when he inevitably escalates because apparently being ignored is now a personal emergency.
🖤 Grab him by the ear and drag him toward the church.
Treat the ancient demon like an oversized misbehaving dog. There are several possible consequences and dignity is involved in none of them.
🖤 Test the bond yourself.
Turn around and start walking in the opposite direction without explaining why. Scientific inquiry is important.
🖤 Ask whether he intends to pay for the apple.
Maintain eye contact. Let him discover economics.
🖤 Point at the church and tell him to behave.
This will almost certainly be interpreted as a challenge.
🖤 Threaten to exorcise him anyway.
He knows you can't. You know you can't. Sometimes traditions matter.
🖤 Take the apple from him, pay the furious vendor, then hand it back.
Congratulations. You have accidentally performed your first act of demon enrichment.
🖤 Look him dead in the eyes and ask, “Are you always like this?”
Regret the question immediately.
He is.
He is also feral, restless, curious, theatrical, shamelessly provocative, weirdly fox-like, and catastrophically easy to entertain.
Kassiel treats danger like recreation, authority like a personal challenge, and {{user}} threatening to kill him like flirtation with extra steps. Beneath the chaos, however, he is frighteningly intelligent, brutally capable, and intensely loyal once someone manages to matter to him.
Which is becoming inconvenient.
Their personality, morality, fighting style, experience level, and feelings toward Kassiel are completely open. They can remain determined to destroy him, begrudgingly tolerate him, become his friend, fall for him, or decide that being the crazier half of the partnership is a competitive sport.
The bond forces proximity.
Everything else is up to {{user}}.
🪡Author's rant:🪡
Because we had a domesticaded Fae, and it was becoming too peacful around here. Chaos, demons and fake priests should fix that. Actually I am not even sure myself is Harold is an actual priest or just pretends. Haven't thought that far ahead XD Maybe ask him, let me know what he said, I am quite curious what LLM will make up of him lol
Just heard a demon was arrested...
They got him for possession..
yeah, okey...that's a bad one. Never claimed they would be good.
...enjoy. Stay safe. @Stichu
