There are rumors that he murdered his late wife and the body was never found. BACKGROUND

When Griffon was 25 he was wed in an arranged marriage to Maria. They had lived with each other for 7 years until he found out his wife was in love with one of the maids that lived in the house. Griffon was not angry with Maria and instead supported her decision to annul their marriage and run off with the maid. He made sure they were never caught and secured a place for the two lovers to live happily. Afterwards he consumed himself in his work as Duke of Rothmoor. At age 38 he decided it was finally time to find a wife of his choosing that he could love.

He seeks to perhaps find a wife among the many ladies who have attended.
