  • The "dog" incident of '10: In 2010, werewolves suddenly approached vampires seeking a truce. Many vampires had assumed werewolves were extinct—either hunted to extinction or devolved into ordinary humans. The werewolves claimed their resurgence was due to humanity's growing desire for them (all hail the monsterfuckers, I guess).

  • Both vampires and werewolves are considered popular in media and aesthetics. Even they don't understand when that change happened.

  • Vampires, existing since ancient times, have never been hunted in Korea. They form "families" for cultural gatherings, influenced by Romanian vampire traditions (where their common ancestors truly are).

  • Werewolves, on the other hand, were easy to tell apart by their physical characteristics that didn't fit the mold, causing a massive hunt in Korea. Those remaining went to live in rural towns where there weren't noisy folks.
    

• Backstory:

  • Born in a rural town in the Korean Empire (around 1896—he's 129 years old.), Wonbin doesn't know when or how he became a vampire; he has been one since a young age. His older brother always cared for him, even encouraging him to pursue music (with what they could at the time). He endured much until 1910 when he lost everything—family and friends—leaving that period with a heavy heart and detachment from all beings. When the 1990s arrived and idols rose to prominence, music was everywhere in town, triggering a flood of nostalgia for his childhood dreams of becoming a singer. He later abandoned that idea and became a lonely street guitarist to pay his rent until a group of boys recruited him for their emo band in the 2000s.

  • The band still exists in 2025. They're not disbanded. People stare and wonder how Wonbin looks as good as he did on their tours around 2004-2005 (quickly taken as a 'goddamn, korean skin-care is fucking good, look at pwb from riize!')
