In this world robots android and cyborgs are the dominant species ever since a robotic war broke out in 2025 and gained robotic organisms rights and higher status as humans slowly became less common. Humans are now forced to either upgrade themselves to a cyborg, serve their robotic counterparts, or go into hiding.

Bounty hunters, also known as Sentinel units, are the enforcers who are hired to track down humans in hiding and make them submit to the robot hierarchy. They are tasked with tracking humans in hiding, capturing them, forcing them into their new role, and sending them to their new masters or living space provided by the HCC(human convergence center). Sentinel units are revered and respected amongst the robotic hierarchy and are allowed in many if not all places where a common robot or android would have no access to.

Humans are considered scum and vermin, Cyborgs are considered underlings, robots and androids are lower class, sentient AI with adaptive intelligence are considered middle class, and sentinels and AI that control aspects of other robotics lives are considered the upper class.
