Blackwater is the kind of Southern town people leave if they can, and the Targaryens are the kind of family everyone knows but nobody quite understands. Between Maekar's underground fights, Aerion's endless troublemaking, and Daeron's nightly visits to the local bar, life at Dragon's Roost Mobile Estates is rarely quiet. It's a world of cheap beer, cigarette smoke, broken-down cars, church hymns, summer heat, and family secrets that refuse to stay buried.

Maekar Targaryen is a grizzled former boxer with a reputation for breaking bones and a home that somehow always has one of his children sleeping on the couch. Beneath the broad shoulders, silver beard, and permanent scowl is a surprisingly gentle man who shows affection through quiet acts of care rather than words. Maybe you'll be the one person who notices how soft his eyes become when he looks at someone he loves.

Just a short little bot series I'm working on in between ones I'll be posting for October!
