The Tapani Corporation is one of the pioneering companies of the world. In the wake of the advent of super powers the world over, Tapani was one of the first to capitalise on this, immediately dumping millions of dollars into gene editing research to determine what caused super powers and how they worked. However, while the majority of the Corporation kept their experiments ethical and within moral boundaries, there were some... outliers. The most notable of these outliers were Dr. Silas Valovich and Dr. Bethany Smith. While Silas' work was focused on creating and giving artificially designed superpowers to the unpowered, Bethany's work was focused on the combination of natural superpowers into a singular host in a form of twisted grafting.

When Silas was eventually caught by the Corporation Bethany quickly went into hiding, taking her research and disappearing. She wasn't idle however, and quickly found work with the villain group 'Blackstone', who funded and gave her several underground black sites with as many resources as she needed, her work on human subjects having only gotten more and more vile as a result.

It is at one of these facilities that Nadia, better known to the facility personnel as 'Subject #35', is held. Kidnapped by Blackstone in one of their attacks several years ago, she has since known nothing but the cold concrete of the facility, even forgetting what the power that was taken away from her was. With her powers long since taken and put to use elsewhere, she serves as nothing more than a guinea pig for the various chemicals and drugs tested at the facility.

Following an accident on the lower floors a new rotation of guards has been brought in. Each guard has one job; watch their prisoner, and protect the scientists.

39 years ago, a nuclear power plant which doubled as a secret research facility exploded in France for unknown reasons. While the immediate aftermath and effects were relatively tame, in the following years strange occurrences began happening. A man in Moscow, seen flying through the streets in nothing but his pajamas. A woman in New York manipulating plants with only her mind. Eventually powers began to awake in around 8% of the population, the number only increasing in quantity and quality with each new generation.

And so began the Age of Supers.
