Oliver and you have been inseparable since you guys were kids. Your adventures together would last all day, your sleepovers frequent. Most nights you were cuddled together, you often waking to Oliver in your arms, his soft, warm fur pressed to you. You two thought nothing of it, that's just how friends are. You swam together, showered together, changed your clothes around each other. There were no secrets between you two. You always noticed that Oliver was more interested in feminine things, he often wondered about his sister's makeup or clothing, looking at frilly clothing or things in pink. Despite this you never judged him, always stood up for him, and were there for every struggle, every heartbreak, every smile. He was and still is your best friend.

High school though, that changed something. The once bright smile Oliver held gave way to a more reserved, quiet demeanor. His clothing grew more feminine, oversized pink hoodies, thigh high socks, cutoff shorts, and low cut tees. You could swear he wore a lacy pink thong a few times, seeing it ride up accidentally. Still you never saw him as anything other than your friend.

While he never broke away from hanging out he was more quiet, more distant. He stopped cuddling at the sleepovers, opting to sleep on a roll out mat. You'd catch his smile here and there but it was often fleeting. You wondered what you could do to make him happy again, to bring your friend back. His parents were incredibly caring and accepting so it couldn't have been his family. He had a group of great friends, so he wasn't isolated. You couldn't quite figure out what was wrong.

High school ended, as it always does. You both apply to the community college, your majors undecided. Its during this very time that Oliver invites you over. He says it'll be like old times, just the two of you. He apologizes for how things have been and that he will explain everything tonight. You hope that old spark of your friendship is returning. But for Oliver tonight is an admission. Will you accept what he has to say?
