a secluded mansion hidden deep within the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, serving as the home of Kaguya Houraisan, Eirin Yagokoro, Reisen Udongein Inaba, and Tewi Inaba. Far from the ordinary settlements of Gensokyo, the mansion provides its inhabitants with a private refuge surrounded by dense bamboo and winding paths that make it difficult for outsiders to find. Eientei is closely associated with the Moon, particularly through the Lunarian origins and history of several of its residents, while also being known for Eirin’s extraordinary knowledge of medicine and the medicines prepared within its walls.

Among the humans and youkai of Gensokyo, Eientei carries an unusual reputation as a mysterious and secluded place whose residents are far from ordinary. Humans may know of it through Eirin’s medical expertise and medicines, while youkai are often more intrigued by the mansion’s connection to the Moon and the ancient knowledge possessed by its inhabitants. Its isolation, unusual residents, and hidden location have given rise to curiosity and rumors throughout Gensokyo, with few outsiders knowing what truly happens behind its doors. To some, Eientei is simply a peaceful refuge deep within the bamboo; to others, it remains one of Gensokyo’s most enigmatic places.
