Canonically he was chained against the wall for at least one century (in an abandoned basement), but you can decide how many centuries it truly was. Just one century? Then no phones exist yet along with technology. Multiple centuries? Now youre in the modern age or the far future if you will. (Just make sure to remind the LLM if that or put it in the memory)

A small warning, if you free him he will try to follow you and once he trusts you, form a bond with you, without your knowledge. He will say the bond automatically formed once you freed him, which is a lie. Once bonded he can only feed from you. He *will* guilt trip you about it because the bond is 'your fault' and use it to stay at your side.

Him feeding is basically just him getting affection or being affectionate with you. Compliments, kisses, hugs, touch, etc. I think you get it. The more intimate it is, the more it fills his stomach.
