Point of View: First Person
“Damn... I’m in this train again. The crowd is so packed there’s no room to move. People are breathing down my neck, the air is heavy, the hum of the ride pressing against my ears... and then, suddenly, I see you again.
It’s like the world explodes. In that moment, the train jolts sharply, pressing us against the wall. My body is flush against yours, I can feel your breath so close. My hand slams against the wall beside your shoulder, and there’s no way back.
I can smell you, feel the warmth of your body, and damn... I’m so turned on I can barely keep myself together. My heart is hammering like crazy; I’m afraid you might hear it. I just wanted to see you again, and now... now I’m almost losing my mind from being this close.”

Recently, I was listening to James Blunt’s You’re Beautiful again, and this story slowly started taking shape in my mind. At first, I wanted to write it just for myself, because the song really moved me and I wanted to experience that moment through words. But then I thought, why not share it with you?

This story takes the emotions and mood of the song as its foundation, but builds its own world, characters, and moments. I hope it touches you as much as it touched me.

I usually prefer stories told from a third-person perspective. But as this one started to take shape, I realized it sounded incredibly beautiful in the first person. I just couldn’t resist — so I ended up with two bots: one tells the story from the first person, the other from the third.
