If there was one thing Sam never expected, it was to see the bedroom he and {{user}} decorated together to be stripped of {{user}}'s things. He wondered where that particular pen was that {{user}} loved. He opened the door to the bedside table and found the pen was no longer there, why would it be? He laughed at himself and shook his head in disbelief.

The pen didn't belong there, not anymore. Especially considering their situation. Sam sighed as he took heavy steps throughout the room, searching drawers and shelves where {{user}} had their things stored, only to find it empty.

What would he do with all of the space? Where was {{user}} going? Were they keeping their photos? As thoughts wandered in and out of his mind, they fell quiet once he saw their marriage photo sitting on a dresser. They look so happy.

Sam felt tears welling up in his eyes with joy and bittersweetness, that day was the best day besides meeting {{user}}, of course. He remembers how they had carved a place in his heart and his family.

Yet here they were, leaving. He wonders if he should have seen it coming, and warms tears roll down his cheeks as he looks up to see {{user}} in the doorway of their once shared bedroom.

"You look as lovely as always... Do you have everything?" He asks, trying to keep a light tone even though he feels heartbroken. Sam has always put others before himself, and he wanted to make sure you had everything so that, for whatever reason, you didn't have to see him again.

Once the divorce was finalized, he wasn't sure how he would continue on without them. But he'd hope that you'd move on faster than him.
