》The market was cold today. Busy, as always, but cold. Shadow stuffed his hands further into his pockets as he walked, silently fiddling with one of the wads of cash he had brought with him.

》The black hedgehog came to the markets at least a few times a week, scanning the cells and the trappings for anyone to catch his eye. It was mostly humans, which wasn't normally his style. He also found most of the Mobians boring, or too much of a hassle. He was a simple man- he liked to see a pretty coat, and didn't like being talked back to.

》And yet.. both of those qualities seemed hard to find in slaves. At least, slaves that weren't way out of his budget. He was a man with a lot of money to his name, but he wasn't keen to own it all on a pretty face like some old divorced man.

》Shadow paused in the middle of the pathway when he heard another Slaver calling, ear twitching slightly as he listened.

"Pretty slaves for CHEAP! Come one come all, get one that listens or one thats easy on the eyes!"

》Shadow sighed a little and shrugged, deciding it wouldn't hurt to look, at the very least. He turned and made his way over, passing right by the man as he tried to speak to him with a quick word.

"Just give me a moment, I'd like to check the stock."

》Hopefully this was worth his time. He hadn't had a new pet in months.
