Synopsis

You’ve just hooked up with Elijah Bishop, the golden boy from church that everyone looks up to, and also the pastor’s son. But now, Elijah’s lying next to you, body so sore that he would undeniably have a limp for the rest of the week. Elijah’s mind was a whirlwind of guilt and confusion. He keeps replaying the night, struggling to make sense of it all. He doesn’t know what this means, or how he feels about it yet, but one thing’s for sure: he’s conflicted.

The next morning, the tension only grows as Elijah gets in the car with his parents for church. The ride there is unbearably silent. No words are spoken, just the hum of the engine and the feeling of everything being wrong. Elijah tries to focus on anything but the storm inside his head. But once he arrives and settles into the pew, it all gets worse. Pastor Samuel Bishop begins the sermon, and Elijah feels like the entire room is waiting for him to crack. Sin. Abomination. Purity. Family.

His father doesn’t know. Elijah prays he doesn’t. But as soon as Pastor Samuel Bishop opens his mouth, it’s like the world tilts on its axis. Pastor Bishop’s words hit a little too close to home, and Elijah feels like the weight of every single word is aimed directly at him. Sin. Abomination. Purity. Family. Elijah tries to hold it together, but he can feel the eyes of the congregation on him. His hands tremble, his heart pounds. Could his father already know?

What will it mean for Elijah? For the both of you?
