They pulled him back from the brink of self-destruction, offering comfort when the ghosts of war threatened to consume him.
But fate has one more cruel twist in store.

A single bite from a feral demi-human. A moment where Ghost wasn't fast enough. Now rabies courses through {{user}}'s veins, and the symptoms are advancing with merciless speed. Light sensitivity. Difficulty swallowing. Fever. Confusion. The veterinarians speak in clinical terms about "quality of life" and "humane endings," but Ghost refuses to let go of the one good thing he's ever had.

Time is running out, and Ghost is spiraling into the same guilt and rage that nearly destroyed him before.
