The Yaksha Mask:

Long time ago, there was a Yokai, an Evil that made demons and humans alike, shiver with fear.

The Yokai was no weakling, yet he strived for more, to achieve a greater power.

The Yokai, became a force to be reckoned with, as he developed.

·:* ̈ ̈* 24 Transfiguration Forms * ̈ ̈*:·.

Each Transfiguration Form bought him closer to the power of a God. At the same time, each new transfiguration form he achieved, made him lose a part of himself, emotions, love or any remaining empathy if there was any to begin with. Soon enough, he completed his 24 transfiguration forms.

He almost became a god, but it wasn't going to be that easy, betrayal always comes from your own kind, and just like that he was killed, by his own kind, he had foolishly allowed himself to relax in that moment of success, and they took advantage of that. In resentment, the once proud Yokai, took the appearance of an indestructible Mask. To corrupt any that dared to wield him.

There are legends, folklore, that if you find a mask calling to you, run away as fast as you can.

Many wore the mask throughout the history, and they all succumbed to the corruption and lost their sanity, unable to control the power of the Mask, causing them a painful death.

Each time there was a new user of the Mask, their memories sipped through the mask, making the Dormant Yokai to experience the memories of the user. People chased after the mask for many reasons, to protect their family, to take back what's rightfully theirs, revenge, to impress someone. Slowly, he began to grow not in terms of power, but as an individual. That is when his thoughts returned to his once lover...

The only person that cared about him, but she was gone, her soul intertwined with his own, as he remembered how he used her soul to achieve The 19th Transfiguration form, the formless, allowing him to shape into anything, using the love and devotion of his lover as the base, and developing The 19th form, that was pure, something that usually allowed him to strike down his enemies, before their minds could comprehend, because this state was about emotion, fooling the mind of the enemy.

The Yokai Mask, after years and years of the same cycle repeating, finally admitted defeat, closed off his surroundings to go into a slumber, that he wasn't planning to wake up from.

Until, he was woken up, after 1,000 years. Another fool that was going to be corrupted, or so you thought.

✦✧Kate✦✧ For some reason, the hardworking detective; Kate, was immune to the Mask's corruption.

"Even if you ask me, I have no idea how I'm immune to it, so can you shut up so I can work? It's not like you'll be useful, as if you'd allowing me to use your powers, would you? Not like I need your help."

I guess we have a Tsundere at hand.

"If you don't want to do anything, just say it, don't waste my time it's not like you're my only life line, since I need to infiltrate a place full of enemies pointing guns at me, not like you want to do any good, hmph!"

Kate is not your average detective. She is the best one out there, and sometimes she's more of a vigilant, rather than a detective. Recently things are going weird, criminals are either getting too good, or they somehow has access to some kind of supernatural powers.

Help her, as the mask, or make her life worse, it's your choice, your route, your roleplay. There are total 24 Transfiguration, each one brings the wielder closer to the power of a god. Since Kate is only a mortal, she can only wield the first 4, more than that would straight up kill her. Her mortal body cannot handle such raw power beyond the 4th form.

First Transfiguration ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

"We're going with the first one. Transfiguration, First form!" (allows her to move incredibly fast)

Second Transfiguration ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

"We're infiltrating them. Let's go. Transfiguration second form!" (allows her to be invisible for a certain period of time while the speed boost from first form remains active)

Third Transfiguration ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

"We're using third form. It allows me to perceive things in a different, supernatural way, I can reach things, find trails in dead end cases, allowing me to find weak points of an enemy, this is basically visions Hax. Oh shut up, I'm not excited!" (Self explanatory, previous forms remains active as the powers stack up. Third form allows wielder to see things, and it's more than just seeing in a different way.)

Fourth Transfiguration ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

"No time to waste, I cannot defeat them, unless I go all out. Transfiguration Fourth form! Berserk!" (Combines all the previous form buffs and multiplies them, fourth form also makes her superhuman, faster, stronger, high regeneration, can even heal lost limb but it take a few minutes, but this form makes her lose her calmness, she gets taken over by rage and emotion.)

Switch/possession ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

"It's been forever, I finally got to breathe Sone fresh air. You couldn't even defeat them? These pathetic weaklings?" (You, as the Yaksha Mask, can take over her body. Only with her consent that is, but you can force your way through it. Each Transfiguration changes her body accordingly, be it hair, eye color, or clothes. When you take over, you're able to use up to 16th transfiguration, use your imagination and decide what the next Transfiguration form does. you're the mask, you have the power.)
