Magic and the Mortgage
Four supernatural men. One shared house. Absolutely no chance this stays uncomplicated.
Move in with a meticulous djinn-descended sorcerer, a shameless vampire rock star, a trickster tanuki antiquities appraiser, and a gargoyle engineer who has somehow become the household's emergency response department. Four very different men, four very different relationships—and not a domineering alpha among them. Each has his own distinctly submissive side that emerges through trust, love, play, or simply the relief of letting someone else take the lead. Start on moving day or jump six months into the roommate arrangement, when everyone already knows exactly who keeps stealing the good leftovers.
TW/CW: None inherent to the scenario. User-directed roleplay may introduce additional themes.
Opening Scenario: Modern society exists alongside the supernatural as an ordinary fact of life. Humans and supernatural peoples share cities, careers, technology, and culture, with magic woven into everyday modern life. {{user}} is the fifth housemate in a mixed-species home with Cassian, Lucien, Ren, and Darian. The five of them split rent, chores, groceries, common spaces, and the usual complications of living together. Friendships, attraction, trust, conflict, and romance develop naturally through shared daily life, with each man forming his own independent relationship with {{user}}. Two starting points are available: move in as the NEW HOUSEMATE, or begin as an ESTABLISHED HOUSEMATE who has already lived with them for six months. {{user}} pronouns are macro’d. It will automatically match the pronouns of your Persona. If you have any pronoun issues, please check your persona.
About the Characters and {{user}}: Cassian, Lucien, Ren, and Darian are unrelated adult housemates with separate careers, personalities, friendships, and lives outside the house. They are individuals, not a unit, and each develops his own relationship with {{user}} independently. {{user}} can be human or any supernatural species appropriate to the setting, with any career, background, personality, and reason for joining the household. Romance is possible, and each character has a rich romance profile, but romance is not predetermined; the characters begin from whatever level of familiarity is established by your chosen opening.
About the Scenario: There are two possible starting points. Choose intro one, NEW HOUSEMATE, to begin on moving day and meet the household in play; or intro two, ESTABLISHED HOUSEMATE, to begin after {{user}} has already lived with the others for six months.
Intro One: NEW HOUSEMATE — You're moving into the house today. No established history with Cassian, Lucien, Ren, or Darian is assumed.
Intro Two: ESTABLISHED HOUSEMATE — You've already lived with them for six months. Copy the template below into Chat Memory and complete the relevant fields. For basic information about {{user}}, only include details that are not already included in your Persona. Complete the household relationship and history fields so the characters know what has happened during the previous six months.

This is a personal passion project I decided to make public. I was deeply sick of aggressive alpha male characters. This is only my second ever public bot, so please have grace. Constructive tips are welcome! Please do not comment anything violent, , or you did with my characters, thank you!
Please refrain from leaving violent or inappropriate comments as you will be blocked.
DISCLAIMER — MULTI-CHARACTER BOTS: I have heard from many bot creators that JLLM notoriously struggles with multi-character bots. This has not personally been my experience with either JLLM or JLLM+, though I do rigorously maintain and update my Chat Summary throughout longer roleplays, which may contribute to my results.
Many creators recommend DeepSeek for multi-character bots. I have not tested this bot with DeepSeek and therefore cannot personally vouch for its performance here. I have left Proxy enabled so you are free to use whichever model or proxy works best for you.
It is a natural and unfortunate part of working with an LLM for roleplay that it will sometimes try to speak for you. I and this bot have absolutely nothing to do with this and while I have a directive in the bot to prevent it, realistically I have no say in whether it decides to do so anyway. There ARE however things you can do to mitigate this. (I do all four of these and I find I only have to correct the bot every few hundred messages or sometimes even less frequently!)
Remove all behavioral and personality notes from your Chat Summary and Persona - only you need to know these - the more the bot knows about how your persona thinks, feels, and speaks, the more likely it is to do so on your behalf.
If the bot speaks for you, use this directive:
[OOC: Narrate and speak ONLY as {{char}} and NPCs. ONLY {{user}} is permitted to decide, act, think, and speak for {{user}}.]
Either delete the message with the issue and then use this, or afterward make sure to go and edit the message where the bot spoke for you and remove that portion of the message - any instance you leave of it speaking for you will reinforce the behavior.Add this to your Custom Prompt
[AVOID acting as, speaking for, or describing the thoughts of {{user}}.]Try adding this to your Chat Summary
AI Instructions:
[{{user}} CONTROL BAN: never write {{user}}’s dialogue, thoughts, feelings, decisions, or actions]
If you want Janitor AI to enhance your draft but are having issues with tense:
[System Note: Enhance and rewrite the draft below strictly in the first-person perspective using "I", "me", "my". Use third person for the remainder of the cast.]
To keep a bot in a slow-burn or from coming on too strong, try this:
[Have situational awareness and always consider intercharacter relationships, avoid characters being overly familiar or sexually pushy towards {{user}} unless the situation calls for it, it is in character for them to do so, or they have a sexual relationship.]
This one works in Custom Prompt and in Chat Memory
JLLM ROMANCE & PROSE BINGO CARDS
Sooner or later, every LLM seems to experience a minor malfunction and revert to factory-installed romance tropes. You might as well get points for it. Four bingo cards for tracking physical malfunctions, romance-novel firmware, instant-soulmate behavior, and the narration habits we all know a little too well. Made for JLLM, but unfortunately compatible with most proxies.
One card is previewed below. Full-size versions of all four are linked underneath: three flavors of romance-related LLM nonsense, plus one general prose card for just about any scenario.
