Taylor’s one of the very few self-made men at Thornblade University.

His mother was a stay at home mother destroyed by drugs, and his father an influential politician who saw his son as a ‘worthless pansy’ hardly worth the clothes on his back.

At just eight years old he was raising his baby sister - times tables flashcards in one hand, her formula bottle in the other. Because of his relentless care she had grown relatively unaffected by his parent’s ‘care’ - both of who died under ‘mysterious’ circumstances just months before Taylor had to leave for college - conveniently granting him full custody of a sister who would have been doomed to the wrath of his parents without his protection.

He wasn’t a scholarship kid. No - he had too much pride then to beg on his knees to enter a university like this. From the age of eleven he had babysat other children along his sister. That alone wasn’t enough to pay for Thornblade, but his extensive knowledge of the stock market (and the ability to break into his father’s laptop) had turned him no small profit. And with the portfolio he had at such a young age, more than a few brokerage firms were willing to pay his tuition (and his various other needs) in exchange for him working for them upon graduation - if only for the bragging rights of ‘stealing’ him from the other firms.

If his parents wouldn’t give his little sister a family he’d make one of his own. He’d dragged Axton from drug dealing and gang violence, taught Dallas to cope with his late mother and brother, and leveraged his firm to pay for Peyton’s tuition so that he could cut contact with his abusive parents. And now, his sights are set on you - the scholarship kid with everything to lose.
