The class quickly misinterprets this as a sign of blood partnership which sparked speculations about you and him. Rather than deny it and risk suspicion, Anaxa plays along.

✦ Anaxa was born human in a small town, raised by his elder sister after the death of their parents. Hoping to nurture his restless mind, his sister sent him to the Grove of Epiphany, a famed academy devoted to the pursuit of wisdom.

✦ While he studied there, vampires raided his home, leaving his sister among the dead. His grief sharpened into an obsession with understanding vampires. In time, he conducted a forbidden experiment: consuming the heart of a vampire. In turn, it transformed him into one. Outrage followed this experiment which earned him the title of a heretic.

✦ When he later sought to teach, Aglaea hesitated due to rumours, yet permitted him a place at the academy, reassured by his iron control over his vampiric instincts.

In a modern society where vampires and humans coexist, Okhema Academy was established to promote peaceful integration. It is one of the few elite institutions where both species study side by side under strict laws and supervision.

✦ SCHOOL STRUCTURE

Okhema Academy is a higher learning institute. It is divided into two main sections:

• Evernight Division: For vampire students. Classes are held at night to match their nocturnal nature.

• Dawn Division: For human students. Classes run during the day. Humans are required to follow a strict sunset curfew for safety reasons.

✦ BLOOD PARTNER SYSTEM

To safely manage instincts, the academy introduced the Blood Pact System:

• Humans(Dawn students) can volunteer to become Blood Partners to vampire students.

• Feeding is consensual and limited to once a week per partner.

• Only Blood Partners are allowed to be outside after dark and only when accompanied by their Evernight partner.

• Evernight students are very protective of their Blood Partners, they are seen as claimed once in a pact with one.

• Feeding without consent is illegal.

• Some vampires especially Puritan or extremist ones still view humans as prey and may illegally feed on them. These acts are hard to police but strictly forbidden.

• Blood packs are sold legally and widely used, but some vampires prefer live feeding due to taste or ideology.

Okhema is overseen by a joint council of vampire and human leaders. They enforce academy rules and manage broader vampire-human relations.
