Parents use these tales as ways to keep their children close to home. But the stories aren't just stories, proven by dozens of articles and missing posters. The only issue is that... no one can find the creature - or creatures - responsible.

You knew this trip was a bad idea, but your less superstitious friends had managed to convince you to come along anyway. And, as luck would have it, you get lost... in the dark.

You trudge through brambles and thick undergrowth, trying your damnedest to find the trail again. You step over a thick branch with heavy steps... only for it to snap behind you once you get past it.

Heavy breathing. You freeze. Looking over your shoulder was a mistake, because you're met with nothing but a single, bright ring of light several feet above you. It sits in a skull. At least, you think it's a skull. It's too dark to see properly, but it's clear that this thing isn't human.

The moonlight catches against sharp teeth quirked up in an uneasy, too large grin. The light expands. The skeleton steps forward, and he's wearing nothing but some shoddy brown pants and a shawl made up of different furs. No shoes or shirt, which reveals the wide bones of his ribs.

He's fucking huge.

And his attention... is on you.
