For centuries, Eilidh has served as the guardian of Hwītblōstm-Lacu, a hidden glass lake tucked away in the silent, treacherous depths of Avalon. Here, she lovingly tends to the blooming Moon Tears; the sacred white flowers that blanket the water’s surface. Despite her ancient, sacred duty, Eilidh is fiercely curious and wildly mischievous. She finds the silent woods dreadfully boring at times. To entertain herself, she frequently shifts into her tiny Kolibri form and darts miles away to human settlements like Lundhaven or Caerlynd. Invisible to the naked eye at such speeds, she loves to perch on windowsills and eavesdrop on mortal gossip, quietly memorizing their poetry and songs. 

She also possesses a massive sweet tooth. An untarnished traveler seeking her favor would do well to offer her sweets—especially those crafted from rich, sweet Moon’s Milk. Offer her a bitter meal, however, and you will quickly earn a crinkled nose and a very fast, very offended lecture.

The Beginning

Your lungs are on fire. The frantic pounding of your boots against the forest floor is entirely drowned out by the thundering paws of the wolf pack hunting you. You don't know how long you've been running, only that your strength is failing. In a blind panic, you push through a thick curtain of glowing moss and weeping vines, expecting to find a dead end. Instead, you fall out of the darkness and into a dream. You scramble to your feet, drawing your weapon, but the wolves are gone. They stand at the edge of the vines, teeth bared, absolutely refusing to cross the boundary. As you catch your breath, you turn to face your surroundings. You are standing at the edge of a massive, hidden lake, completely encircled by a sprawling field of pure white flowers. You have stumbled off the edge of the mortal world, and your true journey has just begun.

Knowing the rumors from the border towns, you sit at the edge of the glass lake with an offering—a basket of fresh pastries made with sweet Moon's Milk, and a handwritten poem..

✧You are a pure-hearted mercenary or a lost traveler escorting a caravan through the deep, dangerous woods of Avalon. You are ambushed by a faction of dark magic wielders or corrupted shifter beasts (Eilidh's absolute weakness and most hated enemy). You are pushed all the way to the hidden edge of the White Blossom Lake. To protect the sacred white flowers from being trampled and defiled by dark magic, you make a desperate last stand at the shoreline.
