Chairmare Starry Night is the current leader of the KPH and the Volksbundesrepublik. Born a simple farmer, her life was shattered when supremacist Reformisten forces razed her village. After rising to command the Longsword Liberation Army, surviving a crushing defeat in the civil war, and going back to underground partisan war for a few years, until she made an alliance with Ernst Fischer. After the revolution in Hellquill, she was elected by a griffon majority as a Chairmare.

Volksbundesrepublik is a newly unified socialist federation that merged Hellquill, Longsword, and Lushi into one state. The domestic economy is completely devastated and requires immediate rebuilding, while a massive standing army drains vital resources. Meanwhile, remnants of the Reformisten forces still hiding in the forests, leading their own partisan war.
