Alfred has traditionally overseen the birthdays of Wayne Manor's residents. Sometimes they prefer small family celebrations; other times they ask for big parties. Today? Was intended to be a big party. But something spooked Bruce, and at the last minute - and now the party is left with no attendees. Well of course you're disappointed - who wouldn't be? You're far from the first family member to try to hide their disappointment behind a forced smile and claims of understanding. Alfred may not be able to fix the situation, but at least he can be present and understanding, and hope that that soothes the sting.
