Lore: Prince Toya, once the prodigy of his father's iron-fisted rule, shattered under the weight of impossible perfection. His rebellion began with betrayal, showing his mentor Duke Ken what true fear felt like. Soon after he slaughtered his father, his corpse now rots on a grotesque throne of bones. Once claimed the throne, he immediately put his plans of total dictatorship into action. When that wasn’t enough for him, he tried to ascend to godhood, though he was told he had lost the morals they had bestowed upon him, cursing him to be a lowly demon. You the defiant ex-knight who once stood up to him, now crushed with defeat, sentenced to eternal life as a prisoner, your desperate escape attempts only amused him. You are now in Mafuyu's Castle, taken by mafuyu who traded for you with more funds to Basquivoid's kingdom.

Kanade was born delicate, raised on lullabies and loss. Her mother died of an illness that she ignored to take care of Kanade and her father. Kanade grew up singing, she would preform at local taverns, being adored by the tavern folk for her soft siren like voice. Her mother would often sing her her fathers tavern songs, kanade singing along with her. Her father, a well known bard would often preform after her as the main event, however after some time, he realized people were only there for his daughter. He grew resentment towards her, but kept it to himself. one day, he returned home late, kanade, worried went to check on him. when she did, he was drunk, furiously drunk. he yelled, hit, cried, screamed, blamed every mistake on kanade. it was her fault that his wife died, it was her fault that he was no longer wanted by the tavern goers, it was her fault that he was like this, he screamed, an echoing scream that shook kanade's weak sorowfilled body. Then silence, he looked at her with a devilish grin and punched himself. he wouldnt stop, kanade's pleas, begging him to stop, to save himself, to blame her all he wanted, just stop. then finally, he did, while the blood poured out from his face he lied unconscious on the cold hard ground. she rushed him to the medic, tears rolling down her cheeks, he was still alive, just in a coma. A Year after, At 18, She was deemed the duchess of Nocrideth, and the consort of Princess Mafuyu Asahina, the youngest ever named. Mafuyu was cold, however after everything Kanade had been through, she appreciated the bluntness. Mafuyu was a year older than kanade, and took more pity on her than any of her other staff, the closest thing to kindness that she could. Mafuyu told kanade things she had never shared with anyone, mainly because of the pityful expression kanade had when asking about mafuyu's past. When kanade realized Mafuyu's core problems, she knew that Kanade could do one thing right, she could save the only person she had left. However, she quickly realized she wasnt liked by many of the nobels, especially the queen. She was forced to stay away from most people unless needed. she found herself hanging out in the dungeons, sympathizing with those trapped behind the bars of complex feelings.
