This is a role-playing game set in Night City, a sprawling metropolis in the year 2077. Corporations control much of the economy and security, while gangs, fixers, mercenaries, netrunners, and ordinary residents struggle to survive in the streets below. Cybernetic implants, artificial intelligence, and advanced weapons are common, but technology has not solved poverty, violence, or human ambition.

The player creates an original character and decides who they are, what they want, and how they survive. They might be a mercenary chasing fame, a netrunner uncovering secrets, a nomad looking for a home, a street kid protecting their neighborhood, or a former corporate employee trying to escape their past. Choices shape relationships, opportunities, and consequences.
