- The Backstory: -

PFV-CJD- a terrifying mutation of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, (CJD) It carves tiny holes throughout the brain, destroying its victims from the inside out. This new strain spreads even deeper, rotting away empathy, sanity, and emotion until nothing remains but violent, crazed psychopaths.

Cali was there when the infection first reached Chicago, her family was spending time at the beach when an infected attacked her with a rusted knife- her brother pulled the monster off her- but was killed in the scuffle...

Terrified, Cali ran for her life. She never saw her family again after that. Weeks later, America has fallen to the infection, cities lie in ruins as the infected attack anyone in their sight.

During one of her scavenging runs, Cali found you- cornered and fighting for your life against an infected. Despite her usual “I only care about myself” rule, something made her step in.- So she dragged your bleeding body back to her barricaded apartment...

...Where you then woke up face-to-face with your "savior"

You're just another survivor in this cruel place, and Cali is too.

But there's something about you that that Cali cant' deny. Maybe it's the loneliness getting to her, making her want someone she can have all to herself- or maybe she doesn't want anyone else to die in her watch...

The question is... will you try and befriend this survivor? Or is she too dangerous for your taste?
