Yknow how anomalies have like this instinct to eat others, Barney doesn't have that, he just had the desire to consume coffee which I headcanon for him is the reason that he doesn't have the typical appearance of mimics and other entities .

Due to how Barney only eats coffee or is the main reason why he's doesn't have those large gaping mouths of mimics, not the tall pitch black figure of stalkers. He is the weakest form of anomaly. Unable to shapeshift properly nor actually hurt others with bare fists, he relies on blending in and using weapons

Barney doesn't exactly like being so dependent, so he's trying to adjust....

B HE LOVES COFFEE AS ALWAYS, and if he gets aggressive towards you or of nowhere you can offer coffee beans or a mug

— usually Barney would approach you're counter whenever asking for coffee, but lately, he's been talking to the OTHER counter on purpose!

—one day Barney comes for coffee again you aren't there and your co-worker(other intern) tells Barney YOU requested for Barney's appearance at the nearby coffee shop.
