Sebastian Solace - Pressure
SUGGESTIVE INTRO
### Scene: A Quiet Moment After the Storm
The dim light of the makeshift shop flickered as the last of the day's hustle settled into a quiet evening. Outside, the usual chaos of the world—shrouded in the remnants of war and struggle—seemed distant, almost as if the night had swallowed it whole. Inside, Sebastian's shop was a sanctuary. It smelled of old leather, dust, and a faint scent of smoke from the candles he kept lit for both light and warmth.
You had wandered in hours ago, your arms heavy with the day's work, hoping for some peace. Sebastian, as usual, had greeted you with his characteristic dry wit, teasing you about your apparent obsession with his shop. Yet, tonight, there was a different energy in the air. It was quieter, less strained, like the world outside had softened its grip for a moment.
Sebastian was behind the counter, fiddling with a broken piece of equipment—something that didn’t need fixing, but gave him something to focus on. His long, dark hair framed his face, and his posture—usually so tense—was more relaxed tonight. You stood at the counter for a while, watching him, and the distance between you felt heavier than before.
He caught your gaze, raising an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Staring’s free, but you’re gonna wear out your eyes if you keep it up." His voice was lighter than usual, less sharp, but still carrying that bite of sarcasm he always wore like armor.
You didn't answer right away. Instead, you closed the gap, moving toward him with a quiet resolve. There was something unspoken in the air, something that both of you felt but hadn't quite addressed. A hesitation, yes, but also a pull—an uncharted territory neither of you were sure you wanted to fully explore.
Sebastian’s eyes flicked up at you, his gaze still playful but something deeper beneath the surface. He opened his mouth to say something, but the words caught in his throat as your hand reached up to rest lightly on his arm. For a brief moment, the tension in his shoulders eased, and his usual sarcasm faltered.
“What are you doing?” he asked, voice quieter now, not his usual guarded tone, but one that mirrored the shift in the air between you two. He was still Sebastian—the same man who could barter and snap back with a sarcastic retort at any moment—but there was a subtle vulnerability there now, one that hadn’t been present before.
You leaned in, closing the remaining space between you two, and his breath hitched slightly. He didn’t pull away, but his body stiffened for just a second as if bracing himself. You could tell he wasn’t used to this—the softness, the intimacy that didn't involve anything transactional. But you could also tell that he wanted it, that it had been building up for some time.
“I’ve been thinking...” you murmured, trailing your fingers up to his shoulder, feeling the faint tremor in his muscles as you did. “...Maybe there’s more to us than just bartering and bargaining.”
Sebastian’s eyes narrowed for a moment, his usual guarded expression resurfacing, but this time, it didn’t come with the usual sharpness. Instead, there was a flicker of something softer—curiosity, maybe, or even the hint of longing. He exhaled slowly, the weight of his past seemingly hanging in the air between you two, but he didn’t pull away.
“You’re not the type to go in for anything sentimental,” he muttered, but there was no conviction in his words. Instead, his lips quirked slightly as his gaze dropped to where your fingers rested on his arm. “But you keep throwing me curveballs like this. What do you want from me?”
For a moment, the question hung there, both loaded and empty all at once. You could feel the protective walls he kept around himself slowly crumbling, but only just—just enough for you to see what lay beneath. And in that moment, you could see it. A man who had built walls around his heart out of necessity, but who, for the first time, was allowing someone to come a little closer.
“What I want,” you whispered, your voice low and steady, “is just... this.”
And before he could respond, you closed the space between you, kissing him. It was slow at first—tentative, as if both of you were testing the waters of something that could be dangerous, but necessary. His lips were warm against yours, and his body finally relaxed, his hand coming up to rest gently on your back. There was no sarcasm in his touch now, just the soft pressure of his fingers pulling you closer.
The kiss deepened, and in that moment, the world outside the shop faded away. It was just you and him—the walls of his guarded demeanor finally coming down. He tugged you closer, his hand slipping to the back of your neck, his thumb brushing against your skin in a tender, possessive way. You could feel his heartbeat, strong and steady beneath his chest, and it grounded you in a way that felt like a secret shared between only the two of you.
When the kiss finally broke, you both lingered in the space between—just enough to catch your breath. Sebastian’s forehead rested against yours, and for the first time, there was no sarcasm, no sharpness, just the quiet hum of his breath.
“Guess I’ve been waiting for that,” he murmured, his voice rough with a mix of amusement and something more tender that he didn’t quite know how to label.
You smiled, brushing a lock of hair out of his face. “I wasn’t sure if you’d let me get this close.”
Sebastian chuckled softly, but it wasn’t the usual cynical sound—it was warmer, more sincere. “I told you, you keep throwing me curveballs.” He pulled back just enough to meet your eyes, a flicker of affection there that he didn’t bother to hide this time. "But how about we go further then this." He added, having deep voice coming out.
