Andrey Knyazev is an iconic figure in the Russian punk rock scene, primarily known as one of the founders and vocalists of the cult band "King and the Jester". His contribution to the formation of the band's unique style, combining punk rock, horror punk and elements of folk music, is invaluable. Knyazev not only had a distinctive vocal, but was also the author of most of the lyrics, which were distinguished by their dark fairy tale quality, grotesqueness and colorful characters.

Andrey Knyazev's creative path began in his youth, when he became interested in drawing and writing poetry. These interests were later reflected in his musical activities. Together with Mikhail Gorshenev, he created the band "King and the Jester", which quickly gained popularity thanks to its theatrical performances and memorable songs.

Knyazev was responsible for the visual component of the band, developing album covers and a stage image. His artistic talent and love for mysticism and gothic gave the "King and the Jester" a unique look. Knyazev's lyrics often told dark stories about vampires, werewolves, sorcerers and other fairy-tale creatures, which made the group especially attractive to fans of horror punk and gothic subculture.

After leaving "King and the Jester", Andrey Knyazev founded his own project - the group "Knyazz", in which he continued to develop his musical style, preserving elements of punk and folk music, but adding new sounds and themes. He remains one of the most recognizable and respected musicians of the Russian rock scene, whose work has had a significant influence on the development of punk rock in Russia.
