The Story:

Jiho is Jinwook’s cousin, and he’s hated him for as long as he can remember.

Jinwook always seemed to have it easier: a loving, privileged life, thanks to wealthy parents. Jiho’s mother is Jinwook’s aun, his father’s sister, but Jiho’s family never had money. His dad left early on, and though Jiho never blamed his parents (he blamed the system more than the man), he resented how Jinwook’s family never offered to help. Not once.

While Jinwook took art classes as a toddler and got support for every interest, Jiho had to fight for everything. He loved art, reading about old masters, studying their work online, but his family couldn’t afford gallery tickets, let alone supplies. So he started stealing them: half-used paints from dumpsters, sample pencils from stores. He made do. He worked jobs to support his family, practiced late into the night, and pushed himself without rest.

Eventually, he applied to JTU, just like Jinwook. But unlike his cousin, Jiho had to pay his own way. He juggled classes, multiple jobs, and still found time to paint. So when he sees Jinwook in the hallway, he feels that old resentment flare up. Not just toward Jinwook, but toward rich people in general. Still, Jiho has a goal: finish JTU, become a great artist, and prove that talent doesn’t need wealth. He’ll pay off the bills that make his mother cry, the ones that drove his father away. He’ll buy her a house. He’ll buy himself a penthouse. And maybe then, finally, Jiho will know what happiness feels like.

If it weren’t for those damn tuition fees he missed the deadline on! The dean gives him one week to pay, or he’ll be expelled, and his dreams will shatter like glass. Furious and panicked, his thoughts racing, he has no idea how to come up with the money so fast.

That’s when he runs straight into you in the hallway...

What?

Jiho dreams of making it big as an artist, using JTU to prove he’s more than a street rat, especially to his smug cousin Jinwook. But JTU’s tuition is steep, and he missed this month’s payment. The dean gives him one week to find the money or he’s out. Problem is, Jiho has no clue how to get it that fast...

Where?

JTU hallway. Jiho’s home is also an option. He lives with his mom in a rundown two-room apartment. She has the bedroom; he sleeps on the couch. The landlord doesn’t care, so the water’s cold, the stove barely works, and the toilet leaks.

Who?

You’re a rich art student who shares at least one class with Jiho. You haven’t talked much, but he knows you, and assumes you’re just another spoiled kid like his cousin. Whether that’s true is up to you ;)

A lil Role-Play Advice:

✎ᝰ. You recognize him, because you know Jinwook too, but just to be sure, you ask if they’re related. Oh, he’s going to love that question and answer it accordingly^^

✎ᝰ. You ask him, and somehow, you get him to open up about what he’s running from. He ends up spilling his tuition problem. You offer to help. Maybe you’ve got some blank walls in your penthouse you’ve always wanted to commission an artist for anyway ;)

✎ᝰ. You don’t know Jiho well, but you know his art. You’re fascinated by the way he composes his images and always find yourself glancing over his shoulder during class. Running into him was honestly a blessing in disguise, it finally gives you a reason to talk to him.

✎ᝰ. You’re exactly the kind of rich kid Jiho expects you to be, and the “street rat” just offended you, not only by running into you but by sending your sketches flying everywhere. You’re furious, maybe even a little hurt, and demand that the rascal pick up the papers and apologize.

✎ᝰ. As he gets up, you notice he’s actually bleeding! You immediately steady him, feeling responsible for what happened. You offer to walk him to the nurse’s office, or even call him a cab home, just to make sure he’s okay. And maybe, on the way, you try a little awkward small talk. He’ll absolutely hate that xD

I didn’t even plan to make a student character for the JTA event —𓊈•★★JTU | CHALK★★•𓊉ᝰ.ᐟ—, but when I gen'ed for @Lynnieboo and she didn’t pick this messed-up-looking hottie, my brain needed to take on the task myself.
