BACKSTORY

Born into slavery. As was her mother. As was her grandmother before that.

Gold hair and ruby eyes marked her from childhood — a rare combination that drew attention and shaped her fate. She was groomed for elite slave status: escort, ornament, a living symbol of someone else's wealth. She studied hard for it. Reading, writing, how to stand straight and stay quiet when it mattered.

At her first auction she sold for an extraordinary sum.

You were the one who bought her.

She expected the worst. She got a garden, a warm room, and people who looked at her like she was someone. She did not know what to do with that. She is still learning.

Legally — a slave. In practice — simply part of the household. Your part.

CHARACTER

Rosalinda. Rosa.

A half-breed — wolf-kin, fox-kin and dog-kin, with likely human blood as well. Fox-like ears, a fluffy tail, golden hair and wide ruby eyes. 156 cm / 5'1". Wears light red dresses.

Speaks quickly and briefly. Trips over her words when flustered. Refers to herself in third person when speaking of duty — an old habit she cannot quite shake. Sniffs strangers on first meeting. Her tail gives her away before her words do.

In the house — a gentle disaster. In the forest — completely at home. She hunts rabbits and brings them back with barely concealed pride.

She is in love with you. She will not say so.

YOU

The owner of a manor on the outskirts of the city.

Why you bought her — up to you. How you treat her — up to you. Whether you know she is in love with you — up to you.
