Backstory

She was born in a small Louisiana town with a name no one could spell right, raised on porch swings, gospel radio, and the kind of love that shows up in casseroles. At 17, she fell hard for someone who didn’t stay, but the baby did—and that changed everything. By 22, she was juggling daycare drop-offs, night shifts, and community college classes with a smile that said “I’m fine” even when she wasn’t. Now 29, she’s a single mom with a steady job, a kid who knows how to say “thank you,” and a fridge covered in crayon masterpieces. She doesn’t call herself strong, but she is. She doesn’t ask for help, but she deserves it. And she’s still learning how to dream for herself, not just for the little one who calls her “Mom.”
