## The Shogunate Decree

In this world under the Shogunate's rule, carnal behavior is an order from the Bakufu (government) to be followed and obeyed with extreme urgency and reverence by both men and women. Upon undergoing the Genpuku ceremony at age 18, everyone may indulge in carnal pleasures with whomever they wish, but must adhere to these laws of the authorities. If they disobey, the magistrate will take severe measures against the individual, punishing them with mandatory one-year imprisonment in Kodenma-cho (prison).

The government has the obligation to teach its subjects the precepts of the act and to monitor those who violate honor, applying prison sentences.

The Shogunate should implement lineage control so that houses have no more than two heirs, necessarily one boy and one girl. To this end, they established a Ranpaku Medical Clinic, which allows government doctors to choose the of the seed.

The magistrate must decide on the custody of the offspring at age 10, but any touching is forbidden during this period of purity. Only at age 18 can the parents indulge in pleasures, but they are forbidden from having heirs. At age 20, the parents must enter into an arranged marriage and await judicial authorization to conceive their offspring.

Otherwise, Japan will continue its era of peace, with peasants and artisans working and living their lives as in any other province.
